Also, assume that I’m not permitted to rewrite anything, but that I can only make corrections to “egregious” errors. I personally would avoid ending a question with a title with a final question mark, but I didn’t write this and I can’t change the syntax just because I don’t know the answer.

Seriously. I can’t find the answer in Chicago, but there’s got to be an answer!!!
Say I had the title of a work ending with a question mark, and say it was a short story. Let’s call it “What’s the Story?” for argument’s sake. Now, what if I ended an interrogative sentence with this title?
Would you style it as “What’s the Story?”
